PM-Vina: our 10-step process and factory capabilities

A 10-step production process run to ISO 9001:2015, the Hateco design office, the Quoc Oai CNC factory and a 12-month warranty with 24/7 support.

PM-Vina NC machining factory in Quoc Oai

Since it was founded in 2018, PM-Vina has delivered 521 projects for manufacturing customers, including more than 30 FDI customers. Behind those projects are one consistent workflow, a team of 93 employees and two sites: the design & sales office at Hateco and the NC machining factory in Quoc Oai (Hanoi). This article explains how PM-Vina works — from receiving a request to supporting the customer on site.

A 10-step production process

Every project follows the same workflow, from survey to support at the customer factory:

  1. Request & survey — receive topic requests from customers, survey and evaluate.
  2. Concept proposal — suggest design ideas to the customer.
  3. Design approval — agree and approve the design with the customer.
  4. Detailed design — prepare mechanical and electrical drawings; build the software program framework.
  5. Procurement — order standard and machined equipment from reputable partners.
  6. Assembly & programming — assemble mechanical and electrical equipment to assembly standards; program to programming standards.
  7. Testing & trial — I/O test, dry test and trial run at the workshop.
  8. Completion — complete the assembly and the program; confirm the checksheet.
  9. Packing & delivery — confirm delivery time, pack and hand over to the customer.
  10. On-site support — follow up and fine-tune at the customer factory; operating instructions and technology transfer.

The first three steps align the customer and PM-Vina on the goal before detailed design; testing, trial runs and checksheet confirmation make sure each machine is fully checked in the workshop before it ships.

ISO 9001:2015 and the PDCA cycle

PM-Vina’s 10-step production process follows ISO 9001:2015 and is controlled through the PDCA cycle (Plan – Do – Check – Action), with checksheets before every delivery. Quality is checked at every step of the workflow — design, machining, assembly and trial — before delivery.

Two sites, one in-house workflow

Design & sales office — Hateco, Hanoi

Home of the engineering design and sales teams, handling customer requirements and solution development. The design team engineers automation machines, jigs & tooling and molds to customer requirements.

NC machining factory — Quoc Oai, Hanoi

The factory handles NC machining, fabrication, assembly and trial runs before delivery. It is equipped with rows of CNC lathes and machining centres (CNC milling machines), machining parts for the automation machines, fixtures and molds PM-Vina builds, as well as parts to customer drawings. Machining in-house lets PM-Vina control lead times and quality from raw stock to finished part.
